Description
[Machine Translation] Seven suicides, and with a roar, they come back to life as the "living dead"! The one and only "terrible movie", a fusion of a biker gang and the occult, is now available for the first time on DVD. -- The leader of a biker gang, who calls himself "The Living Dead," drives a motorcycle gang on a rampage with his girlfriend in tow. He is also friends with his mother, who is into black magic. When the leader hears from his mother about the magic of reanimation, he sells his soul to the devil, Toad, and dies in a motorcycle accident himself. He was buried with his car by his friends. He was supposed to rest in eternal sleep. But with a terrible sound of a motorcycle explosion, the leader jumps out of the grave and becomes the real "living dead" (immortal), and his friends, inspired by his magnificence, commit suicide one after another. The "living dead", freed from the fear of death by their immortal bodies, run amok in the streets and commit all sorts of pranks.... This 1972 British biker film is now a cult classic with a huge worldwide following. Unlike the American chopper style, the British rockers style bikers, the "living dead," go on a rampage. The film also incorporates many elements of black magic popular in the U.K. and the U.S., perhaps due to the 1969 slaughter of Charles Manson and his family, and is full of occult mayhem. The film is directed by Don Sharp, a veteran of numerous films at Hammer Films, a renowned horror film studio. The music is by John Cameron, who also composed Ken Loach's "Kes" ( 1969 ). The soundtrack is by a band called The Frog. The entire film has a disturbing psychedelic groovy sound. After completing the film, Academy Award-winning actor George Saunders previewed it in Madrid, Spain, and then returned to his hotel room and shortly afterward committed suicide. This became his last film.
