 Description
[Machine Translation] Four of America's most famous people, Einstein, Marilyn Monroe, her husband, baseball player Joe DiMaggio, and McCarthy, an agitator of the Red Hunt, gather in a hotel room one night during the filming of Monroe's movie "The Seven-Year Affair" and engage in a noisy debate about sex, relationships, and even space issues. They argue about sex, relationships, and even the universe. A discussion drama led by chance, the visual excitement of its development is the magic of Nicholas Roeg. The absurdist ending, which lives up to its original title, "Meaningless," is also a real stunner. The film's two outstanding actors are Teresa Russell, who plays Marilyn Monroe, and Gary Busey, who looks nothing like Marilyn Monroe, but is forced to play the role of Joe DiMaggio. This is a very strong, intense, and unique film. First DVD release. Commentary leaflet enclosed.
