Description
Directed by Frank Capra, this heartful drama is a classic among classics. I reckon most everyone has seen it at least once, but in case you haven't... George Bailey (James Stewart, delivering another outstanding performance) is the most decent man around but a series of misfortunes drive him over the edge into desperation. Just when he's about to end it all buy jumping from a bridge, he rescues his guardian angel. Clarence, the angel decides to show George what the world around him would have been like if he hadn't been around. He learns for the first time how much he meant to all the people around him.... The brilliant film has been quietly influencing later films, most notably 2000's "The Family Man".
