Description
[Machine Translation] In a small, desolate mining town, a boy has a big dream. This is an early masterpiece by the master filmmaker Ken Loach ("When I Think of My Family" and "I am Daniel Blake"). --Billy lives in a desolate mining town in Yorkshire, England. He lives with his mother and a delinquent stepbrother. He fights constantly with his older stepbrother and doesn't have many friends at school. His family is poor, and he works part-time delivering newspapers in the morning. One day, Billy, who has nowhere else to go, discovers a hawk's nest in the ruins of a former monastery on the outskirts of town. He brings home a chick from the nest, names it "Kes," and begins to raise it. Gradually, a relationship of trust develops between Billy and Kes.
