[Machine Translation] Charlotte Gainsbourg's fifth full-length album (released in 2017) is the work of SSW Charlotte Gainsbourg, an actress by profession but also a musician and producer of fashion brands and cosmetics, and a multi-faceted artist. For this album, she had been writing lyrics and developing ideas for several years before coming to New York, and went into the studio with producer Sebastian to give it shape. She felt it was time to take it a step further and reveal more personal details, and although this is her fifth release, this is the first time she has written the lyrics herself. She writes about the deaths of her father and sister, her childhood fears, and her own life as a celebrity. The title track "Rest" was produced by Guy Manuel of Daft Punk, and Paul McCartney, Owen Pallett, Conan Moccasin, and other musicians participated in its production.
