Description
[Machine Translation] [Sergeant Steiner goes to the Western Front, where intrigues swirl! A sequel to the classic war film "The Guts of War". Directed by Andrew V. McLaglen ("Wild Geese"), Steiner is joined by Richard Burtt, the famous British actor. The film features a star-studded cast, including Hollywood stars Robert Mitchum and Rott Steiger, and depicts a war of intrigue that determines the outcome of the war against the backdrop of the Normandy landings. The first half of the film is filled with the spirit of service, with the Soviet troops fighting on the Eastern Front and the American troops fighting after moving to the Western Front. The climax of the film, in which the Austrian army fully cooperates in an urban battle, is a major highlight. --In June 1944, Sergeant Steiner and Major Stransky, who had survived the fierce fighting on the Eastern Front, were transferred to the Western Front. Steiner is informed by his division commander, General Hoffman, that a plan is afoot to assassinate Hitler and end the war, and he is given a secret mission to negotiate with the Americans. Steiner goes to the front lines of Normandy, where the Allied forces have landed, and makes contact with Colonel Rogers of the U.S. Army, who tells him of the assassination plan... The film is released on disc for the first time in a newly mastered 2K scan restored version from the original negative. The dubbed version of the second original production is included for the first time.
