The clean black-and-white cinematography, shot on location in Shinshu, is superb. The cast also includes Hiroyuki Nagato, Akifumi Inoue, Sadako Sawamura, Hisano Yamaoka, Kotoei Hatsui, Tsutomu Shimomoto, Taiji Tonoyama, and Zenji Yamada.
