Description
[FOX Super Price (priced-down) DVD Series] Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman star in this riveting 1969 drama directed by John Schlesinger. Many years ago, I watched John Candy and Eugene Levy doing parodies of the Voight and Hoffman characters on SCTV (I think it was called "Midnight Cowboy 2 in 3-D" or something) and the image of John Candy playing the Midnight Cowboy (I.e. gigolo/hustler) got stuck in my mind, and since then, every time there's a mention of "Midnight Cowboy", I see John Candy's image in mind instead of Mr. Voight. Anyways, this brilliant film is packed with classic moments (I.e. easy prey for parodies). Messrs. Voight and Hoffman were both nominated for Best Actor Oscar.
