 Description
The comedy masterpiece reunites director Billy Wilder with his "The Apartment" stars Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine. Based on the musical of the same name, Lemmon plays a cop who falls inlove with a prostitute named Irma (MacLaine). Though the film's not a musical, the set and the lighting evoke a stage play, perhaps intentionally to suggest the show's origin.
