Description
The unforgettable action-drama was directed by Stanley Kramer. It stars Tony Curtis and Sidney Poitier as a pair of escaped convicts separated from a chain gang. The hard-edged drama makes most of today's "buddy pictures" look like Sesame Street vignettes. Partially ripped off many years later by the producers of "Fled (1996)" which starts out looking like a remake of "The Defiant Ones" but ends up being a regular action flick.
