Description
A set of Blu-ray and DVD features a live-action film based on the hit manga series "Golden Kamuy" by Satoru Noda! Starring Kento Yamazaki. DIrected by Shigeaki Kubo of "HiGH&LOW" series. Plot: The story takes place in the noble northern land of Hokkaido at the end of the turbulent Meiji period. Former military man, Saichi Sugimoto, nicknamed "Sugimoto the Immortal" for his devilish fighting skills, including at the 203 plateau, the harshest battlefield of the Russo-Japanese War, spends his days mining for gold sand in Hokkaido in order to obtain a large sum of money for a certain purpose. There, he learns of the existence of a huge amount of gold that had been stolen from the Ainu tribe. The man who took the gold, Nopperabo, hid the gold in a certain place just before he was caught, and tattooed 24 prisoners with the location of the gold on their bodies, in order to break them out of prison. The prisoners' tattoos were said to be a single code. Then, Sugimoto is attacked by a wild brown bear, and an Ainu girl saves him. The girl's name is Ashiripa, and her father had been killed by the man who took the gold nuggets. Sugimoto, in pursuit of the gold, and Ashiripa, who wants to avenge her father's death, decide to work together. Also after the gold is Tokushiro Tsurumi, a lieutenant in the 7th Division of the Imperial Japanese Army, who risked his life fighting in the Russo-Japanese War. He is planning to conquer Hokkaido for the members of the division who risked their lives in the Russo-Japanese War but were not rewarded, and he needs the gold nuggets as a substitute for the war fund. Another Shinsengumi member, Toshizo Hijikata, who was supposedly killed in the Boshin War, is among the escaped prisoners and joins his former ally Shinpachi Nagakura in pursuit of the gold to realize his ambition. Sugimoto and Ashiripa vs. the 7th Division vs. Toshizo Hijikata. The three-way struggle for buried gold in the noble northern land and the battle for survival begin now...!
