Description
[Machine Translation] [This film depicts the untold scourge of western frontier history, the Sand Creek Massacre, superimposed on the Vietnam War, with a sharp sense of the intense adolescence that was ignited in the massacre. Directed by Ralph Nelson, the socialist director of "Lilies of the Field" ('63) and "Magokoro wo Kimini" ('68), and adapted from Theodore V. Olsen's novel "The Arrow That Shoots the Sun" by John Gay ("Dive Deep and Silent") ('58). Gay adapted the novel by John Gay ("Dive Deep and Silent", 1958). The film begins as a road movie about a man and woman who survive an Indian raid and grow to love each other as they travel, but then reaches a macaroni western climax when they arrive at a fort and face the cavalry's campaign to massacre the Cheyenne. This is one of the most shocking films of the 1970s, leaving a strong impression along with the theme song by Buffy St. Mary. Included is the dubbed Japanese version of the TV broadcast version (Fuji Television's Golden Yo-ga Gekijo)! The dubbed audio includes the original audio and Japanese subtitles for parts of the film that are not included.
