Based on the popular graphic novel by Dark Horse Comics of "300 (Three Hundred)" and "Sin City"! --Nick (Ryan Reynolds) is a police officer living a happy life with his girlfriend, but during an undercover operation, he is killed in the line of duty. Nick is recruited by R.I.P.D., an organization that arrests the unredeemable dead and sends them back to the underworld, and teams up with Roy ( Jeff Bridges ), who has been working there since the 1800s. Nick uncovers a plot to destroy the world. The plot is to flood the underworld with evil spirits by flooding them back through the tunnels that lead to Hades.
