Description
DVD release of the film "GS Wonderland" starring Chiaki Kuriyama ("Kill Bill" fame), Takuya Ishida, Hiro Mizushima, and Yosuke Asari. The story depicts a fictional rock band called The Tightsmen during the Group Sounds (GS) wave that swept Japan after The Beatles came to Japan on June 29, 1966. By some freak coincidence, Masao, Shun, and Kenta put together a GS band. The chief executive of production company named Kajii offers them a debut and decides to add an female organ-player Miku who runs away from home, to their band. Miku is forced to cross-dress as a man, and whole band members are made up as princes with white tights! Although the members are bewildered at first, they aim the hit of their debut song "Kaigansen no Hotel" to make their dream, to play at Nichigeki stage come true. Includes bonus disc with making-of footage, greeting footage, TV special commemorating release of the film, music video, and more bonus footages.
