Description
DVD release of the final film in director Shinji Aoyama's "Eureka" trilogy starring Tadanobu Asano, Aoi Miyazaki, and Joe Odagiri. Mr. Mamiya presents work and shelter to a bus jacked girl, massively indebted man, and fallen doctor. Meanwhile, former smuggler Kenji changes jobs to become a driver in order to evade the people that follow him, and it is there that he meets Mr. Mamiya. But when Kenji walks Mr. Mamiya to his doorstep, he's shocked to learn that Mr. Mamiya's wife bears the unmistakable aura of the mother that abandoned Kenji years ago. Now Kenji bears the secret desire for revenge towards his mother. "Sad Vacation" appeared as the opening film for the Venice International Orizzonti Competition. Premium edition includes bonus disc with making-of footage, documentary on the film at the Venice International Film Festival, theatrical introduction, uncut version of the "Akihiko's Room" segment, and interview with Shinji Aoyama.
