Description
[FOX Super Price (priced-down) DVD Series] This 1981 Oscar-winning film is based on the true story of two British track athletes competing in the 1924 Summer Olympics. One is a devout Scottish missionary Eric Liddell (Ian Charleson) who runs for God, the other is a Jewish student Harold Abrahams (Ben Cross) at Cambridge who runs for fame and to escape prejudice. Magnificent score by Vangelis ("Blade Runner"). Also stars Ian Holm, John Gielgud, Nigel Davenport, and Alice Krige.
