Description
Willow Ufgood (Warwick Davis) is a young Nelwyn who, like the Hobbit Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings, is suddenly thrown into a world of high adventure to save the world. His sidekick/protector is Madmartigan (Val Kilmer). The special effects ridden film was co-written and produced by George Lucas, and directed by Ron Howard, who previously teamed up as director and star on American Graffiti. The Special Edition DVD's features include an audio commentary by Warwick Davis with some interesting anecdotes. He talks about working with the late great little-person actor Billy Barty (who plays a Nelwyn elder) and his influence on him.
