Description
In the near future, the special "X-factor" in their genes give some children special powers which make them "mutants", and the world's divided opinions toward the mutants are causing a big political turmoil. Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), himself a mutant with an awsome mental power, has assembled a group of young mutants whom he trains and cares for, in the hopes of stopping the hatred toward mutants peacefully. Meanwhile, Xavier's old friend Erik Lehnsherr, a.k.a. Magneto (Ian McKellen), another powerful mutant, leads an opposing force of mutants that seeks to even things out with humans through violent and drastic means. Hugh Jackman and Anna Paquin play mutants Wolverine and Rogue whose quest for their own identities carry the important plot elements. Also star Famke Janssen, James Marsden, Halle Berry, and Bruce Davison as Senator Robert Kelly whose campaign incites the mutant opposition movement, and at the same time triggers the last steps of Magneto's dangerous plan against humanity.
