¡ROKUMONSEN '09
Description
[Machine Translation] The legendary folk group Rokubun Sen is finally back! The group consisted of folk legends Hitoshi Komuro, Yoshiko Shikaku, and Kohei Oikawa (members of the last year of Rokubun Sen in 1971), plus Komuro's daughter "Ityu Komuro". The album title "Onnoba" means "sound space," and includes remakes of classic songs from the old Rokubun Sen era, such as "Tabidachi no Uta (Song of Departure)," which won the 1971 World Song Festival Grand Prix and became a big hit, "King Salmon no iru Shima" and "Genshibakudan no Uta. In addition, there are works by SAGA Yuki, a Jazz singer, "Kurashiki Soubonuta," a melody to a poem by Mikiro Sasaki, a poet, and "Inochi Kaisen Hi," a work by Kohei Oikawa, who has already gained popularity at live performances, and for whom fans have been asking for CD versions of his work.
