 Description
[Machine Translation] Celebrating the 20th anniversary of their formation! Yumbo, a treasure of Sendai, releases the first analog record of their career. The first track on the B-side features Satomi Endo (Katatsumoi, biobiopatata, etc.) & Tenkomatsuri (biobiopatata, etc.) as in "Ishi ga Furu", plus MC.shirafu (Katatsumoi, The Natsu, Yasumi Band, etc.) on trumpet. LAKE, who is known for his releases on US and K Records, is on the chorus. The second song on each side is a 12" edited version of "The Devil's Song. The second song on both sides is a completely different version of "People's Umbrellas" from the album, featuring vocals by Ayuko Takayanagi and a daring mix of only piano and guitar by Fuyuri Kudo, the master mind behind Maher Shalal Hash Baz, in which leader Koji Shibuya used to participate. The B-side version was recorded at the book cafe "Mars no Niwa" in Sendai, where several members evacuated right after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, and was immediately released on YouTube. It was performed by the members at that time, Shibuya (B), Takayanagi, Natsumi Kudo (Fluegelhorn), Chieko Yamaji (percussion), Miyuki Asakura (G), and Shunji Otsuki (Fluegelhorn), with Yamaji, who was living in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, participating in the performance via Skype.
