 Description
[Machine Translation] Formed in Nagoya in 1970, based on the legendary GS band Silencer. In 1973, they moved to Tokyo and made their record debut with this album on Columbia Records (later transferred to Toshiba EMI and released three albums before disbanding in 1977). Their mysterious sound and magical atmosphere, which made heavy use of Moog synthesizers and Mellotron, reminded one of Pink Floyd and the Moody Blues, and was unique and outstanding in the scene at that time. They also introduced European progressive rock to Japan, creating a uniquely Japanese progressive sound with the Japanese language and its lyricism. The highlights of this album are "The Old Castle of Transylvania," a huge song that takes up the entire B-side, and "Mythology," which features falsetto vocals intertwined with the Metrotron. This album is highly acclaimed worldwide as one of the representative albums of Japanese progressive rock, along with "Ippatsukacho" by Yoninbayashi.
