Description
Takashi Miike's horror film "Kuime (Over Your Dead Body)" comes out on DVD. Stars Ebizo Ichikawa, Kou Shibazaki, and Hideaki Ito. The film is based on the kabuki play "Tokaido Yotsuya Kaidan" written by Tsuruya Nanboku. Plot: Kosuke Hasegawa is a boyfriend of a popular actress, Miyuki Goto and becomes cast for the stage play at the strong recommendation of Miyuki. This play is based on the traditional ghost story "Yotsuya Kaidan" and revolves around betrayal, murder, and the revenge of Tamiya Iemon and Oiwa. In real life, Kosuke is cheating on Miyuki like Tamiya Iemon in this play. Meanwhile, Miyuki has trouble separating herself from the character of Oiwa she plays... *Rated 12-and-over.
