Description

The story takes place in the Edo period (Tempo era). Under the command of Torii Kaimori, a shrewd and conniving magistrate of Minamimachi, three coworkers, Sarashina Ukon, Takagi Kanpei, and Yanagida Shigezaemon, who are not recognized for their existence during the day, are active in the dark of night to take down the evil. The cast features Takashi Yamaguchi as Ukon Sarashina, who uses a woman's comb to slit his opponent's neck; Tsunehiko Watase as Kanpei Takagi, a master swordsman with a violent temper; and Nobuo Kaneko as Mozaemon Yanagida, who grasps a man's vital points with a clam shell, giving good performances as the three shadowy dojins with rich personalities.
