 Description
[Machine Translation] Wurdah Itah" by French progressive rock band Magma from 1974 has been reissued in remastered and digipak format in 2005. This album was re-recorded for the soundtrack of the movie "Tristan et Iseult" because the demo soundtrack of the same song was used in the movie without permission. The recording was done with Christian Vander (vo/dr/p), Klaus Blasquiz (vo/perc), Jannick Top (b), and Stella Vander (vo), which was different from the composition at that time. The small number of musicians and the lack of ornamentation brings out the excellent chorus work and beautiful melodies, revealing the essence of Zeuhl's sound. As a bonus, a demo soundtrack from the aforementioned movie "Tristan et Iseult" recorded in 1972 is included! Although some of the recordings extracted from the film have been circulating in the underground among fans, this is the first official release of the film. Unlike the original version, this recording features not only Christan and Klaus, but also Christian's close friend, the late Rene Garber (vo/perc), and Jean-Pierre Lembert (b), who later joined Magma as a bassist for about half a year. The performance is full of enthusiasm, and you can feel the overflowing creativity that Christian had at that time to establish the Zeuhl sound. The jacket is the same as the one used for the 180g reissue in '15.
