Description
[Machine Translation] The Broadway comedy co-starring three great actors is now available in a 2-disc special edition with 139 minutes of special features! Directed by George Cukor ("My Fair Lady"). When her ex-husband Dexter learns of Tracy's second marriage to a Philadelphia girl, he begins plotting to sabotage the marriage out of his lingering feelings for her. He sends McCauley, a magazine journalist, and Liz, a photographer, to Tracy's house to get her to talk about an upper class scandal, and they attempt to create a huge disturbance involving the whole family. The combination of four-time Academy Award winner Katharine Hepburn's comedic performance and the contrasting personalities of Cary Grant and James Stewart (who later became two of Hitchcock's most famous stars, winning the 1940 Academy Award for Best Actor for their performance in "The Upper Class"), create an exquisite sense of humor. This comedy masterpiece was later remade as a musical version of "The Upper Class. Just as it was in the theater! Cinefont (unique handwritten characters used in theaters) is used. Digitally remastered version. Picture label. The bonus disc (Disc 2) includes Katharine Hepburn Self Portrait (approx. 69 min.), The Man Who Made the Movie: George Cukor (approx. 54 min.), Short Film: That Inferior Feeling (approx. 9 min.), Animated Short Film: The Homeless Fela (approx. 7 min.).
