Description
[Machine Translation] A man who changed the map of the 20th century - a thrilling war secret based on a true story! --1942, Stockholm. Eriksson ( W. Holden ), a Swedish oil merchant, is named on the Allied blacklist as a traitor for selling oil to Germany, and his friends and family look at him with a cold shoulder. A British intelligence officer, Collins ( H. Griffiths ), takes notice of him and offers to remove his name from the blacklist if he works as a spy for the Allied Forces. Ericsson had no choice but to accept Collins' offer. His mission was to find out the location of the oil refinery where he was stationed in Germany. Ericsson went to Berlin to visit an old acquaintance, Baron Oldenburg, president of the German Petroleum Association, to seek clues, but was told that Germany would soon stop buying oil from Sweden. If that happened, Ericsson would have no excuse to go to Germany. So he proposed a plan to build an oil refinery in Germany to the German officials stationed in Stockholm, and succeeded in getting their approval. However, his colleagues and friends become even more antagonistic toward him. Based on the true story of Erik Erikson, an American-born Swede who was a major spy during World War II. Filmed on location in major cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, Stockholm, and Copenhagen, the film gives realism to this tumultuous thriller.
