Description
Stepehen King is said to have written the novel "Dolores Claiborne" with Kathy Bates in mind for the title character. It is no wonder since the part fits Bates like a glove, and even more so than her Oscar-winning role in the earlier King movie, "Misery." The absorbing thriller is less "horror" and more character driven than "Misery." Jennifer Jason Leigh is amazing as her estranged daughter.
