Description
You may argue that the film was not entirely based on facts, or true events have been altered to fit the filmmaker's viewpoint or just to make it more dramatic. All those arguments are more than justly founded, and Oliver Stone himself presents the film not as a fact or documentary but a theory. Say what you will about the film but what you cannot deny is the sheer ingenuity of Stone's filmmaking, how he masterfully assembles the multitude of complex elements together in one tight package. This director's cut version expands that package with 17 minutes of extra footage edited in. The 2-disc DVD set also carries a total of 91 minutes worth of bonus footage.
