¡MY DOG SKIP
¡Movie
Description
Based on the award-winning autobiographical novel by Willie Morris, it tells a story of a boy who's no good at sports, has a tough time making friends, who is given a dog by his mom. The dog (Skip) becomes his best friend, and some of the moments later on in the film are so true to any of us who, as a kid, had a dog who became his/her best friend. Frankie Muniz (from TV's "Malcolm in the Middle") is very good as the young Willie Morris. It's a wholly enjoyable movie unless you're in a more subversive mood in which case watch instead "A Boy And His Dog" (based on Harlan Ellison's novella) which is a cult sci-fi film that influenced George Miller in the making of The Road Warrior (Mad Max 2). Remember Max's best friend was also a dog?
