Description
River Phoenix stars in this suspenseful, gripping drama about the Popes, a married couple who has been on the run from the FBI since the early '70s when they blew up what they thought was an empty building in a radical protest. Though they have survived underground for many years, it's time now for their eldest son (Phoenix) to make up his own decisions about his future. Phoenix, who carries the film along, is brilliant, and so are the rest of the cast, Christine Lahti and Judd Hirsch in particular.
