Description
A sci-fi comedy starring Steve Martin and Kathleen Turner. Dr. Hfuhruhurr (Martin) is a world famous brain surgeon. The woman he marries (Turner) only did so for his money. Annoyed by the true nature of his wife, his only comfort is his conversation with the 'sexy' brain of Anne Uumellmahaye (voiced by Sissy Spacek) in a bottle. Character actor extraordinaire David Warner (Planet of the Apes, Titanic) is Dr. Necessiter, a mad scientist. If you're a Sci-Fi/horror fan, watch carefully for Jeffrey Combs ('Re-Animator' and many Full Moon/Charles Band films, as well as recurring roles in 'Star Trek DS9') who has a small role here as a young doctor who makes fun of Steve Martin's character. You must be a clairvoyant if you guessed the identity of the 'elevator killer.' Directed by veteran comedy writer/director Carl Reiner, known also these days as the pop of Rob.
