¡Fellini's Rome2K Restored Edition
¡Movie

 Description
[Machine Translation] Rome, where the Italian, or rather, the world master Fellini first visited as a young man, loved as the basis of his filmmaking, and lived there for the rest of his life. In this film, Fellini himself appears on screen and narrates the story. The film freely moves back and forth between the prehistoric era, Fellini's youth under the Mussolini regime, and the present (at the time of filming), depicting the history of the city of Rome, its public face, and its imaginary appearance as if it were an essay. The bustling restaurants, rainy highways, archaeological digs, a huge brothel, a clergyman's fashion show, and a swarm of speeding motorcycles are just a few of the unforgettable scenes. This masterpiece was scanned from the original negatives in 2010 under the supervision of cinematographer Giuseppe Rotunno, and was released on Blu-ray for the first time in Japan from a 2K restored master that has had all scratches and dust removed. MGVC was used for the video, and the audio was mastered by Seigen Ono. --Fellini leaves his hometown of Rimini and takes a train to Rome, where he is taken care of by his neighbors in a bustling boarding house and eventually discovers "love" in a brothel. 20-page booklet (written by Yasushi Oshiba) included.
