¡Boogie-Woogie Train
¡Jimmy And The Vivids
Description
[Machine Translation] The good old days of R&B and DOO-WOP are back! Following in the footsteps of THE KING TONES, we are expanding the circle of the music scene! In 2005 and 2006, "THE KING TONES" performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, the biggest festival in Japan. Mr. Uchida, the main vocalist, suffered a stroke four years ago, and due to his sensory impairment, he is no longer able to perfectly deliver his falsetto, which is unique in the Japanese music scene. However, he was able to put on a wonderful show on the main GREEN STAGE last year, featuring JIMMY Irieda, a student of "THE KING TONES". We have started a project to revive the one and only DOO-WOP vocal group as a Japanese artist to follow in the footsteps of "The KING TONES"! The group is dedicated to music fans who love R&B and 60's Motown sound, and will expand the music market to not only the younger generation but also to the baby-boomers. The group consists of three vocalists, "JIMMY Irieda", "YOU", a current member of "THE KING TONES", and "YUTAKA". Recording band members are Dr.Scott Latham ( Masaki Ueda BAND ) ,Gt.Takashi Yofu ( Masaki Ueda BAND ) ,Pf.Tomoji Hani ( Masaki Ueda BAND ) ,Bs.Kenji Nakano ( THE KING TONES BAND ) ,H.Organ.Hikaru Sugawa ( THE KING TONES BAND ) , Kazuo Kamata ( Inagaki Junichi BAND ), Sax. Boogie-Woogie Train", composed by Kei Urushido of Kazun and lyrics by Kazuko Kobayashi, is the title song of the album, and is an original piece that gives an idea of the artist's overall image. The album also features covers of "Can't give you anything" by THE STYLISTICS, "Unchained Melody" by THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS, and "LioSleeps Tonight" by THE TOKENS. The result is a debut album that is well deserving of the title. The work is genuine and will steadily create a new music scene.
