The unit name "Hirakawachi 1-chome" is the address of their hometown, Shimizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Currently, they both reside in Tokyo. Compared to their debut, the perspective from which they write lyrics has changed from that of children to that of adults, but the style of their songs, in which they expose their personal lives in an unabashed manner, and their powerful and sad folk-rock style are still alive and well. They express "nostalgic but new music" with their own unique taste without being bound by the boundaries of the times.
