 Description
[Machine Translation] Japanese original punk/new wave band Suddenly Danboard celebrates their 30th anniversary! The album includes 5 songs written in 1978 but never recorded, and 5 songs written by vocalist Eiichi Tsutaki, who passed away in 2003 (all newly recorded), marking the 30th anniversary of the band's formation this year. Eiichi was replaced by his younger brother Shunji, who sings lead vocals on all the songs, and joined the band in 2005 to play twin guitars with Toru Matsuura (guitar) of ex.NON BAND and BOYS BOYS, creating an ensemble full of originality. Suddenly Cardboard has always maintained a unique musicality while changing into various forms, and the fact that there is no discrepancy at all between the latest song from 30 years ago and the song from 1978 is a menace. The band has never wavered in their method of awakening the listener with sharp Japanese lyrics over a twisted rock sound. The recording of this band sound full of initial impulse was successfully done by AxSxE of NATSUMEN (recording and mixing) and Hajime Yoshida of PANICSMILE (producing). The liner notes were written by Manabu Yuasa, who is the best friend of the Tsutaki brothers.
