¡Sometimes, Walnut Creek
¡Valve Drive / First to Leave
Description
[Machine Translation] Good Melodic Punk collaboration between Japan and the US, mastered by Stephen Egerton of All/Descendents! With so many releases each year, it is rare to find a release that is so detailed and well thought out. This year marks the 11th release of a split CD between Japan's Valve Drive ("VXDX") and California's First To Leave ("FTL"), two young but promising acts who got in touch through myspace and decided to come to Japan on their own. Last year, the members of Valve Drive contacted the band on myspace and arranged for FTL to come to Japan and tour with Lifetime, a band that they have always wanted to play with. They later performed together in Tokyo and deepened their friendship. The album was mastered by Stephen Egerton, guitarist for ALL (Descendents), a band that has influenced many Melodic Punk/Pop Punk bands, and who visited Japan for this year's Fuji Rock Festival (Stephen also does the mixing for VXDX). ), and the artwork was done by Jeff Caudill, vocalist of Gameface, a band VXDX has always admired, to create an uncompromising work of art. The title of this album is named after Walnut Creek, a town near San Francisco, California, where VXDX member Ruhara first visited his cousin's house and where the members of FTL used to live.
