¡UNDER THE WILLOW -ICHIGO-
¡Kazutake Takeuchi

 Description
[Machine Translation] Kazutake Takeuchi, keyboardist/producer of A Hundred Birds and SUIKA, released his first solo album "UNDER THE WILLOW -panda" in January 2008, which is his first HIPHOP instrumental album with a wurlitzer (electric piano) sound. The second album "UNDER THE WILLOW -ICHIGO" is already here, following the much talked-about HIPHOP instrumental album "UNDER THE WILLOW -panda" released in January 2008. The album is even more soulful than its predecessor, with piano, Wurlitzer, and Rose (a 70's electric piano) bouncing around freely as if they were singing and rapping over the tracks, creating memorable melodies. The analog synth sounds intertwine with the piano, the falsetto-laden chorus work, and the use of vocoders throughout the album, creating a further sublimation of the 70s sound in the present day. Track 1, which opens the album, is a catchy new SOUL/HIPHOP with Wurlitzer's ever-changing solo and scratchy chorus. Track 2 is based on Rufus & Chaka Khan's secret song "What am I missing? The 70s-inspired track 3 features ALI-KICK, the brains behind Romancrew, on vocoder and chorus, based on the drums of drummer/percussionist Yuko Takahashi, who also plays in the HIPHOP band SUIKA. The piano ballad track 4 is a beautifully melodic female vocal song written by Takeuchi and covered by Daigo Kobayashi, a close friend of Takeuchi's. The second half features ALI-KICK on vocoder and chorus. The second half of the album opens with track 5, which features an electric piano and analog synthesizer intertwined with the latest HIPHOP beat produced by ALI-KICK, followed by track 6, which has a strong HIPHOP flavor with a pleasant piano melody centered on soul samples and chorus, and track 7, which features a beautiful piano playing over an inorganic rhythm machine beat. The album closes with track 7, a jazzy and unexpected piano track over an inorganic rhythm machine beat, and track 8, a lyrical track built on a simple AKAI sampler that intertwines beats, piano, and rhodes. With 8 lovely piano instrumentals, "UNDER THE WILLOW-ICHIGO" is not only for black music and HIPHOP maniacs, but a masterpiece for all music fans' ears and hearts!
