¡Bo Diddley Tribute Album "Hey! Bo-Slinger!!"
¡V.A.

 Description
[Machine Translation] A memorial tribute album to Bo Diddley, the founder of rock and roll along with Chuck Berry, by Japanese rockers such as THE NEATBEATS, SCOOBIE DO, THE PRIVATES, KING BROTHERS, and Keiichi Sogabe. Along with Chuck Berry, BO DIDDLEY is one of the greatest rock and roll originators of all time! He invented the jungle beat, the thumping rhythm that everyone has heard at least once in any form, and his songs and style have been covered by countless groups and artists, including the Rolling Stones, the Kinks, the Who, and many more. It is no exaggeration to say that every rock and roll band in the world has been influenced by BO in some way. It has been about a year and a half since BO DIDDLEY passed away. Finally, an album of BO DIDDLEY cover songs by important artists in the Japanese rock scene who truly adore BO DIDDLEY is now available! All the tracks on this album were recorded at GRAND-FROG STUDIO, a completely analog vintage studio owned by Mr. Pan of the NEATBEATS, with Mr. Pan's engineering. The sound, recorded in mono with vintage analog equipment in today's digital age (2009), succeeds in bringing back the glory of the golden age of rock 'n' roll in a package that captures the atmosphere and realism of the scene in its entirety! The opening track, "The Neat Beats," is a 60's beat group sounding song with a great sense of speed and everything Rock 'n' Roll is all about! M-3 and M-4 by Scooby Doo are funky and aggressive with their soulful manner! Blues and rhythm explode! The album closes with Keiichi Sogabe's "MONA ( I NeedYou Baby )", the only Japanese cover of the song, which is lyrical and uplifting with a unique approach. His jacket illustrations include jackets and posters for Kishidan, B'z, Guitar Wolf, Blankie Jet City, etc., PV animation design for Velvet Revolver, and a cover illustration for Tokyo Mode Gakuen.
