¡Anaheim Apart
¡Sekaiichi

 Description
[Machine Translation] Sekaiichi has launched its own label "Anaheim Records" to start a new chapter in its 11-year history. As the first work, they have released a mini album "Anaheim Apart", a frontal view of the rock band "Sekaiichi", where a wide variety of residents (=musicians) coexist. Sekaiichi" is a rock band formed in Osaka in March 2003, and made their major debut in 2005 with the release of "Ishi Korobu" from Toys Factory. In 2010, they moved to avex and have released 7 singles, 2 mini-albums, and 7 albums so far. In 2014, the 11-year-old rock band Sekaiichi launched their own label, Anaheim Records, and released their third mini album "Anaheim Apart," their first original work in two years and seven months. Sekaiichi has released a wide range of music in the past, and the six songs on this album range from cool 80's rock that lets you enjoy the gaps between sounds, to AOR-esque mid-ballads, free folk mixed with "basement memoir"-style satire, and even a touch of madness. The six songs range from cool 80's rock with gaps in the sound, to AOR-inspired mid-ballads, to "basement memoirs"-style free folk, to poetry readings with glimpses of madness, to post-rock full of odd time signatures, to pop-reggae perfect for the cooler early fall weather. What binds this wide range of music together is Iwasaki's underlying soulful songs and the undulating groove of the band that breathes with those songs. Although there are plenty of new experiments, the band has brushed up on the "change for the sake of constancy" that they have been doing up until now, and this is a work that can be called "this is Sekaiichi" and is suitable for release as the first work on their own label.
