Producers include Neil Edelstein, known for David Lynch's "Mulholland Drive" and "Straight Story," and Shinya Egawa, who has remade "The Ring" and "The Incoming Call" in Hollywood. --The monitors are lined up in a bleak room. A man in a suit faces a man in a wheelchair covered in vinyl with bandages all over his face. The man, who may have lost his memory and is unable to answer questions, is confronted with a monitor. A recording of three foreigners traveling in Japan is replayed. Christopher, a photography geek, visits Kate's boyfriend James in Japan with his childhood friend Kate. At an antique store, Kate happens to pick up an old book titled "The Storyteller" and becomes interested in the temple depicted in the book. The group finds out where it is, and is led to the temple by a boy they meet at an inn, but before they know it, the night is dark and the boy has disappeared.... The three are led to an abandoned temple in a foreign land, where a night of terror ensues.
