Description
DVD release of a live action film "Tenchi Meisatsu (Tenchi: The Samurai Astronomer)" directed by Yojiro Takita of "Departures (Okuribito)." Stars Junichi Okada (V6) and Aoi Miyazaki. Plot: The story is based on the life of Santetsu Yasui, who is a real go player and appointed as the first official astronomer in the Edo period. One day, Santetsu is ordered to create a new calendar by Masayuki Hoshina who is a guardian of Shogun Ietsuna.
