This is a masterpiece of Cuban jazz featuring the best of the best, including Roman Filiu, saxophonist of Ilaquere, and Ramses Rodriguez, the terrific drummer of the Chucho Valdes Quartet. Romain Filiu decided to move to New York after receiving enthusiastic calls from Steve Coleman, David Murray, and others. This is the first CD release in Japan of previously unreleased recordings from his Cuban days. The album is a jazz album with an impact that sets it apart from other jazz albums.
