 Description
[Machine Translation] The live jazz-rock show at Shibuya Kokaido on April 30, 1970 was recorded live, and the album "Sensational Jazz '70" released in July of the same year contained outtakes! Takeshi Inomata and Sound Limited recorded "JOINT" from "Sound of Sound Limited", and Jiro Inagaki and Soul Media, with Shigeru Naruke on guitar, gave a passionate performance of "THE VAMP", a cover of Randy Brecker's "Head Rock". The band played a passionate rendition of "The Vamp," a Randy Brecker cover from "Head Rock. Akira Ishikawa and Count Buffaloes played "BACK TO RACK", which was recorded by their friend and rival Soul Media for "Head Rock". This is a very valuable take. Toshiyuki Miyama and New Hard performed "MESSAGE TO THE MOON," an epic big band jazz-rock piece inspired by Kozaburo Yamaki's Apollo moon landing. This piece was never packaged until 2014, when it was included on the compilation CD "JAZZ ON THE EDGE". This is a rare live recording of four bands that are synonymous with Japanese jazz rock, and is a must have for fans of Japanese jazz and rare groove music! Commentary included / Recorded: April 30, 1970 / Location: Shibuya Kokaido
