¡IL DEVU
Description
[Machine Translation] A plump, heavyweight ensemble of futomens. The group name is similar! One too many, all too big! The heavyweight ensemble of Futomen Opera singers weighing 500kg in total! IL DEVU, named after the popular British vocal group IL DIVO, is a heavyweight classical vocal group weighing approximately 500 kg. The five members are tenors Tetsuya Mochizuki and Takashi Otsuki, baritones Takashi Aoyama, and bass-baritone Koji Yamashita, who are usually active on the front lines as opera singers, and Tadayuki Kawahara, a pianist who is highly trusted by the singers and is sought after throughout Japan. The five members of Il Dave, who represent the world of Japanese opera and vocal music, made their debut at "Nikikai Week in Suntory Hall" on May 17, 2011. The overwhelming volume and dynamic vocal expression of the five opera singers, who sing without microphones, overwhelm the audience. Their dynamic performance is in proportion to their large scale and physicality. The five singers' massive ensembles, which include classical ensemble pieces, which is their greatest strength, as well as shoka, pop songs, and the repertoire of the original IL DIVO, are a highlight of the show, created by the bonds they have built through concerts and the physiques they have accumulated over the years.
