¡Utakata no Opera
¡Kato Kazuhiko
Description
[Machine Translation] Kazuhiko Kato's masterpiece solo trilogy, remastered and repriced! Uta no Opera", the second album of the European trilogy, was released in 1980 at Hansa Studio in West Berlin. This is the same studio where David Bowie recorded his masterpieces "Low" and "Heroes". Recording members included three members of YMO, Akiko Yano, Kenji Omura, Toru Okada, Nobuyuki Shimizu, Koichi Makigami, and Nanako Sato. The recording in West Berlin expresses the aesthetic world of Europe in the atmosphere of Berlin, which is in the midst of the tension between East and West, instead of the light sound of the previous Bahamian recording. The variety and innovative approach to the lyrics of the songs made it a confident work by Kazuhiko Kato, who was at the forefront of Japanese pop rock in the 1980s. 35 years after its release, it remains a long-selling masterpiece that has not faded away. Digitally remastered by Masayoshi Okawa.
