¡Hyo - Kadekaru Rinsho no Sekai 2 -
¡Rinsho Kadekaru
Description
[Machine Translation] The best of Okinawan folk songs are finally available on CD for the first time! Produced by reportage writer Ryo Takenaka, who contributed greatly to the popularization of Okinawan folk songs throughout Japan, and who was the catalyst for the subsequent boom in Okinawan folk songs! The best songs and performances by the best "utasas" such as Rinsho Kadekari, Masahito Togawa, Sadao Chika, and Tetsuhiro Daiku, recorded during the turbulent period between 1974 and 1976, soon after Okinawa's reversion to mainland Japan, are now restored! The remastering was done by Makoto Kubota, a sound alchemist who produced Tetsuhiro Oku's "BLUE YAIMA" (2013). This work, "Piao", is a vivid record of a performance recorded in October 1974 at a ryotei (Japanese-style restaurant) in Koza, in order to realize Rincho Takenaka's idea that the best songs of Rinsho Kadekari, a chanter of the wind madness, are created only by singing freely on the tatami room stage.
