¡Tenkawa Shigure
¡Maiko Takigawa

 Description
[Machine Translation] Single by Maiko TANIKAWA. Composer: Shousuke Ichikawa's 7th anniversary project. The poem was written by Teruyuki Sakaguchi, a close friend of Shosuke Ichikawa, Maiko's former teacher. The setting for this project is Mt. Omine, Tenkawa Village, Yoshino County, Nara Prefecture, which was registered as a World Heritage site in July 2004. Amagawa Village was founded in the Asuka period (710-794) as a place for ascetic practices, and is now attracting worldwide attention as a mystical place (power spot). A woman who has fallen out of love goes to Tenkawa to reexamine herself. The mountain that stands in her way is "Omineyama," a mountain forbidden to women, which is so steep that even wounded women are not allowed to enter. However, the colorful autumn leaves, the clear streams of water, and the sound of the Isuzu bells at the Tenkawa Shrine gradually heal their hearts... This work depicts a woman who vows to revive her life with a renewed spirit. Enclosed is a postcard for the Columbia Grand March.
