¡Ondine
¡Ballet

 Description
[Machine Translation] Miyako Yoshida dances the role of the pure and innocent "Ondine, the water nymph" in this much-anticipated work! A man is attracted to a pure and innocent water nymph. Ondine, a water nymph, accepts his love despite her surprise at being in the human world for the first time. The two are united and she gains a soul. But if the man breaks his vow, she must kill him... Created for Fonteyn by the great master Ashton, this ballet fantastically depicts the tragic love between the water nymph Ondine and a human man. Ondine is danced by Miyako Yoshida, whose light, musical and exotic charm is a hit. Surprised by her own shadow and the beating of Palemon's heart, she innocently plays with the raging waves...her ever-changing expression is that of an innocent fairy. Watson, who plays the role of Palemon, shines with her flexibility and beautiful lines as well as her sensitive psychological portrayal. Palemon's fiancee is played by Genesia Rosato. Her jealousy of the woman's heart is very human, and in a way, very tragic, and contrasts with Ondine's. The climax of the play is "The Kiss of Death. The two dance a pas de deux that is sweet in its sadness.
