Ikuo Oshima, 62, is well known for his book, "The Japanese Who Became Eskimo. His eldest son, Hiroshi (32), who is said to be the last hunter, and his grandson, Isamu (8), are the third generation of the family. The Siollaparuk people have hunted seals and walruses in the icy sea and obtained food, clothing, and fuel from them. However, due to global warming and animal protection policies in recent years, the Inuit way of life is at a crossroads. In the midst of all this, his grandson, Isamu, is now old enough to go hunting as an Inuit. Many hunts in spring and summer, including seals and reindeer.
