¡Kamio Mayuko (violin)

 Description
[Machine Translation] This is the second album by Mayuko Kamio, the 2007 winner of the International Tchaikovsky Competition, who made her world debut on CD in June 2008. This is the second album of 24 caprices for solo violin by Niccol Paganini, a violinist/composer whose devilish appearance and superb performances have astonished the whole of Europe. This is the most masterpiece since Bach's Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin, and a long-awaited recording of Mayuko Kamio's true virtuosity in the pinnacle of virtuoso pieces that demand not only perfect technique on the violin but also deep musicality. Past masterpieces by Levin, Ricci, Accardo, Perlman, Mintz, Midori Goto, and others were all recorded in the latter half of the 20th century, and this is the birth of a new masterpiece of the 21st century! The first Japan release coincides with the concerto and recital tour with the Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Spivakov (President of the Jury of the 13th Tchaikovsky Competition). The Limited First Edition comes with a DVD featuring the performance of the famous No. 13 "The Devil's Laughter" and No. 24, as well as a making-of featurette.
